Abstract Details
Purpose:
To report a three years experience and optimized settings with new technology for phacoemulsification with active fluidics managment and low IOP settings.
Setting:
Aurelios Augenzentrum, Recklinghausen, Germany
Methods:
More then 3000 phaco with LIPMICS at preset of 30 mmHg have been performed. Improved settings and surgical cases will be presented.
Results:
LIPMICS was sefely performed in standrad and complex cases. 'Peak setting' of vacuum reduced risk for surge phaenomenon. Active fluidics management increased anterior chamber stability and reduced fluid consumtion.
Conclusions:
LIPMICS at low IOP with improved settings is a safe technique for phaco and might reduce risk for complications in difficult cases.
