Abstract Details
Purpose:
Evaluation of the long term safety, efficacy, stability and patient satisfaction of the SUPRACOR LASIK treatment for presbyopic post-lasik patients.
Setting:
The study was done using the Teneo 317 Excimer laser machine from Bausch+Lomb in the 40 eyes
Nour Al-Haya Eye Center,Cairo-(EGYPT)
Methods:
A Prospective study , Bilateral SUPRACOR treatments performed on the Technolas Teneo 317 Excimer Laser
Study period was 6 months
20 patients (12 males ,8 females)
All eyes were post Lasik presbyopics
Only eyes with 1-year follow-up have been included in the analysis
Results:
No patients lost more than 1 line monocular BCDVA
92% of the patients needed no glasses at all for all day long activities.
95% of the patients would undergo surgery again and would recommend the procedure .
96% patients can read newspapers.
Conclusions:
Supracor procedure can safely and effectively be used to treat presbyopic post-lasik patients.
•Improves near vision with minimal impact on distance vision
