Abstract Details

Purpose:

Retrospective clinic study and long term results with the introduction of this new procedure since 2012 in a high volume refractive clinic keeping the same team and laser machine .

Setting:

American Laser Clinic , Rishon le Tsion , Israel

Methods:

Clinical results and evolution of our surgical indications linked to the introduction of the E.B.K  The most important parameters for the patient satisfaction are the the visual recovery time ,the accuracy , the haze incidence, and the rate of rehancement.

Results:

Mean recovery time 35,1 hours Significant haze : 10 eyes Accuracy 99,7% Within 0,5 dioptries Rehancement needed : only 8 high myopic eyes with epithelial hyperplasia

Conclusions:

The high rate of accuracy and stability with a rather short healing time lead us to use more and more this EBK and to use LASIK procedure only for high myopic after 35 years old and high hyperopic patients
