Results:

The Study included 103 eyes with highly probable late stage Trachoma Patients age was ranking between 40 and 78 years old , mean age was 56. More men than Women 57% versus 43% Cunjunctival scarring was present in 76% of our patients Corneal opacity with extensive neovascularisation was found on 26% of cases Symblepharon was found on 32 patients Trichiasis was the mot common eyelid manifestation and interested 52% of patients

Conclusions:

Since the efforts aimed to eliminate Trachoma on the early 90s using the SAFE strategy , we see less and less cases of active Disease on morocco, However . late stage manifestations and sequellas are seen :specially on patients from ancient endemic areas of the country, Surgery is often the only possible treatment of such lesions Corneal scarring is often impotant and corneal graft frequently impossible because of the extensive neovascularisation
