Setting:

Methods:
We discuss a case report of a patient, fitted with contact lenses after ectopia lentis surgery.
Results:
A 17 year old patient with bilateral ectopia, inferior lens subluxation and microspherophakia on homocysteinuria is admitted for decreased vision. We performed lensectomy - vitrectomy with 15 days delay between the two eyes. Aphakia was corrected by RGP spherical contact lenses R0: 8.2/ Diameter:9.60mm/ Power: +14.5/ Standard Edge Lift. After 6 months follow up, the best corrected visual acuity was 0.2 logMar in both eyes without any complications.
Conclusions:
Aphakia in childhood induces amblyopia. Contact lenses fitting with orthoptic rehabilitation allow to have a good visual acuity.
