Abstract Details

Purpose:

treatment of large corneal perforations without graft available

Setting:

ophthalmology department of Med VI Hospital in Marrakech

Methods:

case report of posttraumatic 3.2 mm lower corneal perforation with iris hernia

Results:

The procedure performed after parental informed consent consisted of an amniotic multilayer membrane graft after microbiological sampling  with good evolution after 3 months

Conclusions:

Large corneal perforation remains a challenge for the ophthalmologist The Amniotic membran transplant is an interesting alternative in our Moroccan context in the face of the difficulty of obtaining corneal grafts urgently
