Purpose:
The purpose of this study aims to show up the interest behind ocular surface care while doing a reanimation in order to avoid exposure keratites
Setting:
OPHTHALMOLOGY SERVICE CHU MOHAMMED VI MARRAKECH
Methods:
We report the observations of a young patient who had been in intensive care following severe head trauma
Results:
patient has developed exposure keratitis in an eye that has become infected with a large diameter corneal abscess. The patient was placed on fortified eyedrops associated with systemic antibiotic therapy with ocular surface treatment and ocular occlusion. The evolution was marked by the control of the infection.
Conclusions:
The best treatment is preventive and should be a priority for the resuscitator and the ophthalmologist. Pelvic occlusion and early treatment are the most effective therapeutic
