This is a retrospective study of 21 patients, collected at the ophthalmology department  CHU Rabat between January 2017 and December 2018.

Results:

The average age of patients was 48 years old. The people affected were mostly men. The risk factors found are: diabetes, eye trauma ,corticotherapy, and a surface pathology in 23.8â„… patients. The clinical examination found a very diminished visual acuity between light perception and 2 / 10. On the bio-microscopic level, presence in all our patients, suppurated stromal infiltrate or abscess with curved surface and / or irregular fuzzy margins, and infectious micro abscess satellite foci, in 71.4% of cases. The microbiological examination, after corneal scraping, was positive in 54% of cases, and46% negative. The culture is positive in two cases.

Conclusions:

In our context other factors are added making the evolution slower and increasing the risk of occurrence of complications. We mainly cite selfmedication, excessive use of corticosteroid, delayed consultation and the unavailability of Amphotericin B in our country
