Abstract Details

Purpose:

Primary Objective: To analyze the post operative visual acuity in Topographic guided Lasik.Secondary Objective: To analyze pre and post operative HOA, contrast sensitivity in Topographic Lasik.

Setting:

Eye7 Hospitals

Methods:

The sample size of the study is 240 eyes . Inclusion criteria: Age over 18 years, myopia upto-8D,Cylinder upto -6D,MRSE upto -9D. The topography-guided LASIK treatment was done using ALLEGRETTO WAVE EYE-QÂ® Laser System, ALLEGRO Topolyzer topography system, T-CAT software. Refractive correction done based on preoperative BCVA.,HOA corrected based on topography and flap created by Femto laser (FS 200). .Corneal topography, manifest refraction, uncorrected visual acuity, best corrected visual acuity, contrast sensitivity was done pre operatively and on post op day 1, Day 15& 3 months.

Results:

94.6% eyes demonstrated visual acuity of 20/20, 66.8% eyes of 20/16 , 36.4% eyes of 20/12.5. Subjects also showed statistically significant enhanced quality of vision measured on parameters like reduction in glare, decrese in reading difficulty, and working on laptop and mobile.

Conclusions:

Contoura vision is reliable, predictable and efficacious procedure. It is showing a promise of being the next generation in vision correction procedure. . Apart from treating refractive error it gives enhanced quality of vision as well. Patients are accepting it as almost a DO IT and FORGET IT procedure
