Abstract Details
Purpose:
To evaluate the visual outcomes (distance, intermediate and near) with the latest version Lentis Mplus X IOL following cataract surgery at 24 months.
Setting:
VISTA Eye Specialist, MALAYSIA
Methods:
Fifteen patients (mean age: 58.4Â±11.6 years, 3 males and 12 females) had binocular implantation (30eyes) with the Mplus X. Post-operative visual outcomes of 30 eyes with Lentis Mplus X IOL implanted were evaluated for distance (UCDVA), intermediate (UCIVA) and near (UCNVA) at 24 months.
Results:
At post-op 2 years, the mean UCDVA was 0.12Â±0.03logMAR with 96% (27eyes) achieving 6/7.5 or better, mean UCIVA was 0.09Â±0.06 logMAR with 100% (30eyes) achieving 20/25 or better and mean UCNVA was 0.07Â±0.04 logMAR with 100% (30eyes) achieving J2 (N5) or better in Lentis Mplus X eyes.
Conclusions:
Our study showed that there is good and stable visual outcome for all distances with the latest version Lentis Mplus X.
