Abstract Details

Purpose:

Evaluation of the different laser procedures to change the corneal surface in Presbyopic eyes.

Setting:

Methods:

LASIK was done with Carriazo Barraquer Microkeratome (Schwindt) and the Excimer Laser MEL 80 (Carl Zeiss Meditec) for myopic and hyperopic eyes.18 myopic eyes and 23 hyperopic eyes were operated with the laser-blended-vision-procedure.

Results:

Good stability, safety and predictability were seen.Evaluation time one year.Increasing micro-monovision and Dephths of field.Complications: binocular diplopia, regression, more in the hyperopic cases.

Conclusions:

For all Presbyopic corneal procedures the laser-blended-vision should be the most favourable.
