Abstract Details
Purpose:
Compare the measurements of the long axillary pre and post implant of IPCL for the correction of myopia or myopia and astigmatism with Galilei G6.
Setting:
Hospital Oftalmologico Santa Lucia. Buenos Aires. Argentina. Oculus Oftalmologia de Avanzada. Buenos Aires. Argentina.
Methods:
Axial Length of Eleven eyes of seven patients with spherical equivalent greater than -8 diopters or more were measured pre and post implant of IPCL with Galilei G 6 (Zimmer), by an independent observer at 24 hours, 1 week, 1 month and 6 months.
Results:
Average preoperative axil length: 29.57 mm (between 26.42 mm and 33.32 mm). Average postoperative axil length: 29.49 mm (between 26.37 mm and 33.31 mm).
Conclusions:
There were no significant variations in the axial length post-implant IPCL measured with Galilei G6.
