Purpose:
APMPPE is an uncommon idiopathic inflammatory disorder.
Setting:
Sri Manakula vinayagar medical college and HospitalpondicherryIndia
Methods:
38 yrs old male admitted to ICU for scrub typhus fever and referred to Ophthalmology OPD for complaints of blurring of vision and headache.O/E patient had visual acuity 6/12 and 6/9 on RE and LE respectively. On fundus examination multiple large deep yellow ��white placoid lesions at the posterior pole was noted.1st weekfollow up shown majority of yellow-white placoid lesions gradually increased in size with deterioration of vision 6/18 and 6/12 on RE and LE respectively.On the basis of clinical picture and fundus examination possibility of APMPPE was considered.
Results:
Patient was observed . After 1 week of fever fundus shown deep yellow-white lesions faded away with visual improvement.on the basis of clinical picture and fundus examination possibility of APMPPE was considered.
Conclusions:
This case is presented in view of rarity in occurence.
