Abstract Details
Purpose:
To evaluate clinical and functional results of various techniques applied in excimerlaser correction of myopia basing on criteria of efficiency, safety and predictability.
Setting:
The study was performed in S. Fyodorov Eye Microsurgery Federal State Institution, Volgograd branch.
Methods:
Medical records of 255 patients with low, moderate and high myopia were analyzed in a retrospective pattern. Patients age averaged 28,5 years.
Results:
By the benchmark of trimensual postoperative follow-up mean NCVA value overreached mean preoperative BCVA value. Exponents of refraction were stable throughout the follow-up period. The stability index achieved 98%.
Conclusions:
The examined LASIK techniques manifest themselves as highly safe, effective, stable and predictable. The concomitant use of femtolaser FS-200 (Alcon) and excimerlaser SCHWIND AMARIS 750 Hz is preferable, as it allows achieving maximal functional and desired anatomical results in LASIK correction of ametropy.
