Setting:

ORBIT EYE HOSPITALJogeshwari-west , Mumbai- 400102,India

Methods:

Trans epithelial surface ablation was performed, using Excimer Laser to ablate the Epithelium (SPT), Post laser application of Mytomycin C , Chilled BSS irrigation , and bandage contact lens , in 100 eyes of 50 patients, they were evaluated post-operatively till 3 months at a regular interval.

Results:

No intraoperative or post operative complications were found. All eyes showed good stability post operatively. None showed corneal haze or Keratectasia.

Conclusions:

Trans epithelial surface ablation using SPT on patients with mild to moderate myopia and a thin cornea(< or = 490 microns) showed a high level of efficacy , predictability , stability and safety.Using SPT patient can perform high risk contact sport such as even BOXING on day one !!The most advanced , safest and Touchless laser Procedure available.
