Abstract Details
Purpose:
To analyze surgical outcomes of femtolaser-assisted cataract phacoemulsification.
Setting:
The study was carried out inS. Fyodorov Eye Microsurgery Federal State Institution, Volgograd branch
Methods:
Results of femtolaser-assisted cataract phacoemulsification in 426 patients were thoroughly examined. Patients�� age varied in a range from 57 to 78 years.
Results:
Not a single case of vacuum loss at the stage of femto-assistance, uncompleted surgery, Descemet�â��s membrane rupture or detachment was registered. There were observed 7 cases of incomplete capsulorhexis, 9 cases of capsulorhexis shift. Paralimbal hematomata of varying severity were noted in all the cases. First day postoperatively non-corrected visual acuity amounted to 0,87�Â�±0,03, while visual acuity of 0,7 and above was revealed in 88,2% in the above-mentioned time-lapse.
Conclusions:
Our experience of femtolaser-assisted cataract phacoemulsification gives evidence of a rapid functional rehabilitation of the patients and stability of the achieved functional and refractive results.
