Abstract Details
Purpose:
To see the evolution of practice styles of French ophthalmologists
Setting:
After David Leaming MD who started surveying ASCRS members in 1986, I have been surveying French ophthalmology since 1997 and I present here the results of the twentieth French survey about practice styles and preferences of French cataract and refractive surgeons.
Methods:
2986 Emails were sent to the French ophthalmologists who are in the SAFIR (French Cataract and Refractive Surgery Society) database. I received 488 answers, which is 16.34%, much better than the 12.55% of last year.
Results:
All the aspects of French cataract and refractive surgery are studied, and also general points concerning the practice of Ophthalmology in France
Conclusions:
This is the 20th survey on French ophthalmologists preferences during cataract and refractive surgery, with comparison with former surveys.
