Preoperatively-limbus was marked at 3, 6 & 9 o clock position on slit lamp with patient in sitting position. After toric ICL implantation knob was rotated to align the the reticule scale markings with the markings at limbus & then it was rotated until it’s axis aligned perfectly with the axis on the scale.
Results:
Postoperatively in all cases, there was no residual astigmatism indicating a perfect alignment of toric ICLs.
Conclusions:
Tocular is more convenient tool for perfect positioning of toric ICLs due to coaxial alignment of it’s scale with eye during surgery.
