Abstract Details

Purpose:

To offer a technique of an objective assessment of degree of expressiveness of the most often met complication – OBL, and also to reveal risk factors of this complication depending on anatomo-topographical characteristics of a cornea.

Setting:

S.N. Fyodorov Eye Microsurgery Complex, Novosibirsk Branch, Russia.

Methods:

Clinical trial is based on results of the operation Femto-Lasik at 67 patients (133 eyes), men:36% and women:64% aged from 18 till 38 years (middle age of 28±5,8). For comparison purposes safety, efficiency of operation, and also expressiveness of manifestation of OBL depending on parameters of a cornea of patients, programmable depth of a femtodissection of the corneal flap:patients were divided on three investigated and control group (after operation Lasik)

Results:

The smallest deviation of thickness of the corneal flap is registered at patients of the third group : 133,07±5,89 µm , then the first 116±5,97 µm, to the second group: 125,14±11,39 µm and the least exact flap in the fourth (control) are received ,128,40±13,11 µm. Results of research of intraoperative frequency of occurrence and prevalence on OBL cornea sectors on groups showed that the greatest frequency (34%) of occurrence and prevalence (54,82 °) are registered by OBL in the second group, the average frequency (15%) and prevalence (37,56°).

Conclusions:

As a result of research it is possible to state dependence of frequency of emergence of OBL and anatomo-topographical characteristics of the cornea.
