Abstract Details
Purpose:
To evaluate the functional outcomes after monofocal implantation of AcrySof IQ Toric (SN6AT2 model)
Setting:
Eye Clinic Excimer, Rostov, Russia
Methods:
Under the control there were 16 patients ( 20 eyes) with age ranging from 52 to 78 ( 68,5±9,5) 7 –men, 9- women. 10 of patients had inversed astigmatism < 1,0 D and 6 – regular one in 1,0-1,25 D range. The calculations were made by using on-line AcrySoftoriccalculator with the usage of biometric data, from Lenstar and Pentacam. The phacoemulsification were made on Stellaris PC via the temporal cut 1,8 mm uneder the MICS technology. We evaluated the distant uncorrected and the best corrected visual acuity (VA).
Results:
The patient's examination were made on 1, 3 , 7, 30, 180 day dafter the surgery. Distant VA was 0,65±0,15 D. No one needed astigmatic correction. In 6 month period the distant VA raised to 0,9-1,0 D at 50% of cases. The autorefractometric astigmatic data declined on 0,6±0,15 D. No IOL rotation in remote period were marked.
Conclusions:
The monofocal AcrySof IQ Toric (SN6AT2 model) implantation is highly-efficient, predictable, and stable method of aphakia and corneal astigmatism correction.
