Long-term visual outcome and complications of implantable collamer lens implantation

Abstract Details
Purpose:
To discuss the long term outcome and complications of 50 eyes of 25 patients who underwent implantable collamer lens (ICL) model V4C implantation.
Setting:
All India institute of medical sciences, India
Methods:
Patients were evaluated using Orbscan, Specular microscopy, Applanation tonometry, anterior segment optical coherence tomography over a period of up to one year.
Results:
The vault showed change with time. There was no fixed pattern of this change. The corneal parameters were within normal limits. The intraocular pressure was normal in all the eyes.
Conclusions:
Long term follow up of eyes with ICL implantation showed that it is a safe and predictable refractive procedure.
