Abstract Details
Purpose:
Observe the early change of corneal density of collagen cross-linking (CXL) in laser-assisted myopia correction .
Setting:
Wuhan Aier Eye Hospital,Wuhan,China
Methods:
There are 10 patients with laser-assisted myopia correction in September 2014 in our hospital. One group eyes were randomized to receive excimer combined collagen cross-linking (CXL), laser ablation repetitive VibeX Xtra to corneal stroma bed for 90 seconds ,then flushing and repositioning flap ,30 mW/cm2 ultraviolet A (UVA) light irradiated 90 seconds. The contralateral eye (control group) were treated with the WaveLight FS200 femtosecond laser and WaveLight EX500 excimer laser (Alcon). Use Pentacam to observe the change of corneal density follow-up 3 mouth.
Results:
Preoperative the CXL group and control group in the full thickness of the average cornea density were 14.6± 2.3 and 13.9 ±2.1 mm;postoperative 3 mouth ,CXL group and the control group in the full thickness of the average cornea density were 15.4± 1.2 and 15.9 ±1.7 mm;The difference vault between preoperation and postoperation in the two group have no statistical difference.
Conclusions:
The early corneal density of excimer combined corneal collagen cross-linking has no obvious increase.
