Abstract Details
Purpose:
To discuss the Viscoelastic agent type selection and implantation time of capsular tension ring to successfully accomplish the surgery of crystalline lens subluxation.
Setting:
The operation was conducted in Aier Eye Hospital Nanping, China.
Methods:
29 eyes with cataract and lens subluxation that involving 27 Traumatic cataract and 2 Morgagnian cataract were choosed . The 2 Morgagnian cataract and 3 tilted lens were treated by ECCE: Sodium hyaluronate was utilized. The other 24 eyes were treated by PHACO: DiscoVisc was firstly used in PHACO and I/A., Sodium hyaluronate was then utilized in IOL implantation. Iris hook was used to help PHACO and I/A accomplishment in lens subluxation more than 2 quadrants or vitreous prolapsus. Tension ring were implanted before PHACO in simultaneous superior and temporal vitreous prolapsus, otherwise were implanted after I/A .
Results:
Naked vision of all the 29 eyes are ≥0.1 and 16 eyes among them are ≥0.5 . IOL was implanted in lens capsular sac in all 25 traumatic cataract utilizing PHACO and 2 Morgagnian cataract utilizing ECCE, 3 inclination lens utilized transscleral suture fixation, IOL was in right position postoperatively.
Conclusions:
According to the different cataract surgical method and procedure, viscoelastic agent selection and implantation time of capsular tension ring should be reasonably considered to complete the operation smoothly.
