Abstract Details

Purpose:

To assess accuracy, efficacy and safety of a LASIK protocol (Supracor*) for the management of the presbyopia.

Setting:

Patients more than 50 years old, complaining about hyperopia and presbyopia and wishing to take out their glasses. VisionFuture Centre, Nice,France

Methods:

We have used femtolaser FS150* (AMO*) to prepare the flap. After lifting the flap, we have proceede an excimer laser protocol with Teneo* (Bausch and Lomb*) and Supracor* software.

Results:

The first weeks, patients shows a myopic status (3-8) and their mean visual acuity without glasses is 20/33 J1. Progressively the induced myopia decrease, the far vision improve and the near vision stay stable.

Conclusions:

The Supracor* software shows effective and safety results. We need more time and more patients to confirm these results.
