Abstract Details

Purpose:

To evaluate the changes of primary irisciliary cyst after implantions of the visian phakic implantable collamer lens (ICL)and the effects of the location of the implantable collamer lens.

Setting:

Wuhan Aier Eye Hospital, Wuhan,Hubei, China

Methods:

There are 88 cases who were with irisciliary cyst examined by ultrasound biomicroscopy in 270 patients in wuhan aier eye hospital that were underwent implantions of the visian phakic implantable collamer lens from 2013 to 2014 years.the occurrence rate was 32.6%.we followed 10 cases (19 eyes )of them and observe the changes of irisciliary cyst and the location of the implantable collamer lens 1 year after the operation by UBM . We were rotated the ICL to evaded the claw of the ICL if the diameter of the irisciliary cyst was longer than 0.8mm.

Results:

There are 6 male and 4 female of the 10 cases(19 eyes), 7 cases of them has the irisciliary cyst in binoculus ,3 cases in one eye.The sagatial diameter of the biggest irisciliary cyst was 1.77mm,the smallest irisciliary cyst agatial diameter was 0.22mm.One year after the operation ,the Iocation and size of iris ciliary cyst has no changes in 12 eyes,cyst was gone in 5 eyes.The biggest sagatial diameter of the disappered irisciliary cyst was 0.83mm.the location of the implantable collamer lens has no change,the claw of the ICL has no change.

Conclusions:

The small primary irisciliary cyst can disappear after the implantions of the visian phakic implantable collamer lens .and it has no effects to the location of the implantable collamer lens.
