Abstract Details
Purpose:
To compare the outcomes between V4 and V4c implantable collamer lenses (ICLs)for high myopia.
Setting:
The Department of Ophthalmology,Eye& ENT Hospital of Fudan University, Shanghai, China
Methods:
105 eyes and 57 patients were involved in this study. We divided patients into 2 groups , 1 for conventional ICL (V4)(Group I, 52 eyes) and 1 for central hole ICl (V4c) (Group II, 53 eyes). The preoperative and postoperative UCVA BCVA, endothelial cell density, MRSE, higher order aberrations,IOP, and objective scatter index between the 2 kinds of ICLs were compared. The follow-up period was 3 months.
Results:
There were no statistically significant differences in UCVA(P = 0.85), BCVA (P = 0.34), MRSE (P = 0.28), and endothelial cell density (P = 0.73),IOP(P=0.24) between the two groups. Also, no difference in objective scatter index was found at 3 months (P = 0.32). None of the higher order aberrations readings showed any significant difference between the groups.
Conclusions:
There were no significant differences between the outcomes of v4 and v4c ICLs.
