Abstract Details

Purpose:

Purpose: To report the refractive results after LASEK for mixed astigmatism at one centre, with 6 month results.

Setting:

Excimer Laser Treatment Centre Bratislava, Slovakia

Methods:

A total of 34 eyes of of 20 patients /age 20-48 years/, were treated with LASEK for mixed astigmatism using Schwind AMARIS 1050Hz platform between january -december 2014. Average pre op values were +1.59 Sph.Dpt, -3.375 cyl.Dpt, with average uncorrected distance visual acuity /UDVA/ 0.34 Snellen Chart

Results:

At 6 months, Average post op values /residual astigmatism/ were +0.01 sph Dpt, -0.29 cyl.Dpt, with UDVA 0.90 Snellen Chart for all eyes treated.

Conclusions:

Schwind AMARIS 1050Hz platform provided predictable, highly effective and safe treatment of mixed astigmatism in the treated group of patients, with very satisfying results 6 months after surgery.
