Abstract Details
Purpose:
Evaluation of the limit for hyperopia in corneal refractive surgery.
Setting:
Bahnhofstr, Weinheim, Germany
Methods:
40 hyperopic eyes more than +2.5 Diopters were operated between 01.01.2014 til 31.12.2014.
LASIK procedure was done with Schwind Carriaco-Barraquer-Microkeratome in combination with the excimer Laser MEL 80 from Carl Zeiss Meditec. Controll time 3, 6 months, 1 year, analyzing the stabilitiy, predictability and safety.
Results:
Small Regression in correction more than +4.0 Diopters. 98 % had gained up til 2 lines in safety, 97 % had a visual acuity from 20/40 or better.
Conclusions:
Some complications linke small Regression or epithelial ingrowth were seen. Good stability, good safety, good predictability.
Limitations: Präoperative K-value of 47 Diopters and radius of 7.5 mm.
