Abstract Details
Purpose:
To compare higher-order aberrations (HOAs) of femtosecond laser-assisted LASIK (FS-LASIK) with small incision lenticule extraction (SMILE) following surgery for moderate to high myopia.
Setting:
Diathasis
Methods:
A retrospective study of 100 eyes of 50 patients treated with SMILE and 100 eyes of 50 patients treated with FS-LASIK. HOAs measured with I-Traice before and 3 and 6 months after surgery were analyzed.
Results:
Postoperative HOAs were much lower after SMILE as compared to FS-LASIK.Negligible differences in HOAs were induced on the posterior corneal surface.
Conclusions:
Postoperative HOAs were much lower after SMILE as compared to FS-LASIK. FINANCIAL DISCLOUSRE: NONE
