Endophthalimis: from clinical suspicion to treatment

Abstract Details
Purpose: 
To timely diagnose and highlight clinical symptoms & signs; and to showcase latest techniques to manage endophthalmitis. 
Setting: 
 A tertiary care eye hospital in India. 
Methods: 
 Detailed clinical examination, ultrasonography (B-Scan) and detailed indirect ophthalmoscopy helped in proper diagnosis. Latest intra-vitreal & intra-cameral antibiotics injections were given and vitrectomy was performed as and when required. 
Results: 
 We observed that maximum patients responded well if treatment started with in first 24 hours so early diagnosis is the key here. 
Conclusions: 
 Timely diagnosis and treatment can save an eye.
