Analysis of the clinical activity of the mobile clinic of the national ophthalmology center named after academician Zarifa Aliyeva in the period from 2010 to 2019 years

Abstract Details

Purpose:

Conduct a retrospective analysis of the clinical indicators of patients examined in the Mobile Clinic (MK) of the National Center of Ophthalmology named after Academician Zarifa Aliyeva from 2010 to 2019.

Setting:

National Ophthalmology Center named after acad. Z.Aliyeva, Azerbaijan.

Methods:

This retrospective study included the results of an ophthalmological examination of 72671 patients with an average age of 41.75 ± 0.97 years, of which 34098 were men and 38573 women examined in the mobility clinic of the National Center for Ophthalmology. The total number of primary and secondary patients in a mobile clinic from 2010 to 2019. amounted to 57681 (79.3%) and 14990 (20.7%), respectively.

Results:

In 54703 (75.2%) patients, various diseases of the organ of vision were detected in the mobile clinic. The largest percentage of patients with revealed pathology of the organ of vision falls on 2010, the lowest percentage on 2014. Cataracts (25.7%) and refraction pathology (23.8%) were in the first and second places in terms of overall detection. Percentages of cataract and refraction pathology in the overall nosological structure of the identified ophthalmopathology in the automotive clinic from 2010 to 2019. amounted to: 35.7% and 35.1%, respectively. 9573 patients underwent surgery.

Conclusions:

Thus, of the total number of patients examined in the mobile clinic, 75.2% were identified various diseases of the organ of vision. Surgical interventions were performed in 13.1% of patients. Cataract and refraction pathology were in the first and second places in terms of general detectability, as well as in the general nosological structure of the identified ophthalmopathology.
