Abstract Details

Purpose:

To emphasize that ipl treatment is not an alternative treatment method in patients with severe dry eye complaints, because it is effective and has no side effects, it is a treatment that should be chosen first. In this regard, we applied 3 sessions of ipl treatment to 48 eyes of 24 patients. There was a two-week period between each session.Some of the patients used tear drops before ipl. some of them had abandoned the use of drugs because they could not benefit.

Conclusion/Take Home Message:

IPL is a new treatment method that provides very effective results in the treatment of dry eye. It can be considered as a pleasurable treatment both in patients who use medication and in the treatment of dry eye that develops after cataract surgery, and in the treatment of very heavy dry eyes that the medications are not enough.
