Abstract Details

Purpose:

The aim of the study was to identify violations of the immunological status of patients with ocular ischemic diseases.

Setting:

The pathogenesis of atherosclerosis (atherogenesis) is a multifactorial and dynamic process.

Methods:

To study immunological parameters, we examined 23 patients aged 35 to 67 years with ischemic diseases of the organ of vision. Of these, 10 women and 13 men. Immunological parameters were determined in all patients using the method of indirect immunofluorescence using monoclonal antibodies to differentiated antigens CD3 +, CD4 +, CD8 +, CD16 +, CD20 +, CD23 +, CD38 +, CD95 +, immunoregulation index, Ig G, Ig A, Ig M, CEC (large and small)

Results:

As a result of the studies, 18 patients, regardless of the etiology of the disease, showed an imbalance of immunoregulatory populations of T-lymphocytes, suppression of the immunoregulation index, an increase in killers, as evidenced by the following: the cellular immunity - leukocytes 5300 ± 900 μl, lymphocytes - 1200 ± 400 μl, lymphocytes 23 ± 1.2%, CD3 + (total pool of T-lymphocytes) - 59 ± 1.4%, CD3 + 708 ± 94.5, CD4 + 330 ± 67.8 μl, CD4 + (T-helpers) -28 ± 2.7%, CD8 + (T cytotoxic lymphocytes) - 31 ± 1.5%, CD8 + 372 ± 69.3 μl, immunoregulation index -0.9 ± 0.04, CD16 + (natural killer cells) - 27 ± 3.2%, CD20 + (B lymphocytes) - 21 ± 2.8%, CD20 + 252 ± 78 μl, CD23 + (allergization factor) - 21 ± 3.2%, CD38 + (precursors of T and B lymphocytes) -20 ± 1.9%, CD95 + (apoptosis factor) -14 ± 2.3%. Humoral link of immunity; Ig G - 975 ± 37 mg%, Ig A - 174 ± 54 mg%, Ig M - 92 ± 13 mg%, large CECs (associated with Ig M) 21 ± 3.1 cu, small CECs (associated with Ig G) 29 ± 3.2.u.

Conclusions:

With the development of the disease in 78,2% of cases of violation of immunoregulatory populations of T lymphocytes, an index of immune suppression, increased killers, the presence of inflammation in the mucous of the body, are one of the main causes of the disease.
