These 2 case studies illustrate why transepithelial PRK is not recommended following previous corneal laser treatment

Methods:
Two cases are presented where transepithelial PRK was used for refractive enhancement following previous corneal laser refractive surgery.
Results:
In both cases zero effect was achieved
Conclusions:
We concluded that the PRK treatments ablated only epithelium which was significantly thicker than normal as a result of previous laser treatment
