Purpose:
To present visual results of patients had ICL implanted 5 years after surgery.
Setting:

Methods:
Studied 25 eyes of 5 men and 9 women, ages between 25 and 42 with moderated myopia or high. Estimated parameters to evaluate were: VA corrected before surgery, refractive defect low cycloplegia before surgery, evaluation of dioptric power of the lens to implant, vault , amplitude of anterior camera (AAC).
VA with and without correction after performed surgery, post-operative complications and subjective satisfaction of the pacient. In the same way, the efficiency, the security and the prediction of surgical procedure is valued..
Results:
All the patients, except 4 had VA without correction of 0.8 or superior. Vault in all the cases ,except one kept superior to 0.15. Prediction values were in 72% +/- 0.5 D and 28% a +/-1 D. One patient developed anterior subcapsular cataract
Conclusions:
Pre-cristalline implanted lenses study showed that is an efficient alternative, secure and predictable to correct defects from moderated to high myopia.
