Purpose:
To explore the possibility of epibulbar and intrachamber anesthesia during phacoemulsification combined with non-penetrating deep sclerectomy
Setting:

Methods:
15 min before the operation - Epibulbar instillation of 0,5% Proxymetacaine for a three times
By tunneled incision in the anterior chamber was administered 0.1 ml of 0.5% Bupivacaine and 0.1 ml of 2% Lidocaine solutions and then performed phacoemulsification and non-penetrating deep sclerectomy.
Results:
By described procedure was operated 60 eyes.
All patients have no complaints of pain and discomfort during surgery and postoperative period.
Operation time was about 15-20 minutes.
The postoperative period was uneventful.
Conclusions:
You can use this type of anesthesia in combined cataract and glaucoma surgery.
