Purpose:
Results in treatment of high hyperopia, hyperopic astigmatism and presbypia with implantation of multifocal and multifocal toric IOL will be presented.
Setting:
: Results of implantations with preop sphere up to + 10,0 D and cylinder up to 4,0 D treated with RLE or cataract extraction are evaluated.
Methods:
Refractive Lens Exchange or cataract surgery using “Infinity” phaco unit and Multifocal and multifocal toric IOL - Lentis M plus and Lentis M plus toric (Oculentis)
were performed. Results for about 20 eyes with sphere up to + 10,0 D and cylinder up to 4,0 D astigmatism up to 4,0 D were evaluated. Patients satisfaction is reported.
Results:
Using multifocal and multifocal toric - Lentis M plus and Lentis M plus toric IOL is possible to remove the refractive error completely or to reduce it to a very satisfactory amount, especially in high hyperopic, combined with high astigmatic refractive errors, in cases of mild to advanced presbyopia. The distance, middle and reading vision is covered by this IOL’s with high patient satisfaction.
Conclusions:
The Lentis M plus and Lentis M plus toric IOL (Oculentis) provide a satisfactory vision in all distances. Careful patient selection is essential.
