Purpose:
To follow up on the changes in the lamella after posterior lamellar keratoplasty.
Setting:
: Eye Clinic "Den", Sofia
Methods:
Patients who had surgery in the clinic (DMEK and DSAEK) were followed up for two years. Anterior segment status was examined via biomicroscopy, OCT and pachymetry. Visual acuity was examined too.
Results:
Ten patients with mean age of 68 years were followed up. The changes in the lamella were reported. The causes of these changes were analyzed and procedures to avoid complications were discussed.
Conclusions:
The changes in the lamella confirm the necessity of a close follow-up and good surgery technique. FINANCIAL INTEREST: NONE
