Abstract Details

Purpose:

29 keratoconic eyes of 26 patients were evaluated with Corneal Module HRT II was used to measure ET 6 months after ring implantation.

Setting:

: Dunya Eye Hospital, İstanbul

Methods:

29 keratoconic eyes of 26 patients were evaluated with Corneal Module HRT II was used to measure ET 6 months after ring implantation.

Results:

Mean ET on ring surface was 31,48 microns, mean ET at ring edge was 68,17 microns . There was statistically significant decrease in ET at corneal ring segment location (p<0,05)

Conclusions:

Remodelling of corneal epithelium occurs in response to intracorneal ring segments after 6 months in keratoconic eyes. FINANCIAL INTEREST: NONE
